testing

enter the session of questions/
friends tell me say your confessions/
but should I not recieve bad after so many blessings
/there trying to find the cause/falsely accusing and guessing/
but I refute these supposed freinds and ask God for direct lessons/

since all at once, I lost all I had/
I'm no longer wealthy/and these wounds hurt real bad/
stolen by bandits and the whirlwind/
this pain is too much/ oh Lord, make it end/

You shoulda seen my camels, and cattle, and sheep/
I prayed daily for my kids, who rode the sands10 deep/
 but now it's all gone/ and I don't know why/
foolish wife tells me to curse God so I'll die/
but I try, to see His face though my tear filled eyes/
answers for this contradiction I require/
should the righteous be afflicted with fire,
aint justice what we all desire,
human's all wrong, so I take my case higher/

cut scene-stories background/
everybody was coming to God, telling what they'd found/
God asked the accuser, have you seen my servant Job?/
how he is righteous, clean like new robes/
 but the accuser pleads hold/
let us test/
his love for you's only cause he's been blessed/
God said take his stuff, but don't touch him/
So the accuser took it all, but Job STILL DIDN'T SIN/
accuser shrug hey man skin for skin/
let me give him pain, and then we'll see who win/

resume-
Dust and Ash/
I tried to walk the wholly path/
but still I sit here like a sinner and feel the heat of God's wrath/
it's hard to see why I was even born/
handmade out of clay, now an object of scorn/
these fake fossil friends tell me I don't understand/
that if I do good wont I get good from God's hand/
but their multitude of words just add's to my strain/
man's hope is destroyed, he only feels his own pain/
Now they calling me Godless and shaking there head/
miserable comforters make a man wish he's dead/
 surely it's God who's broken me like a vase/
cut open my kidneys, put boils on my face/
an what do I want, but to plead my case/
like a man does with his neighbor, before my soul is laid waste/

back and forth the arguments go/ afta Job's final appeal/the old friends have nothing to show/ but young man Elihu decides he'll give it a go/

now that the others have told there part/ I gotta start/ cause there's an abundance of words in my heart/ first Job's friends, ya'lls arguments are useless/ leaving hungry for conclusions like a crocodile toothless/ and Job
God is far greater than man,
you say you want Him to answer, but it's men who don't understand,
He speaks in dream and visions, healing and pain,
He redeems souls from Sheol again and again,
If God wanted, he could take back His spirit and  breath,
and there'd be nothing left on earth - except death.
Job your speaking like a fool,
questioning God, I can't keep my cool,
You act like you've done God a favor for living right,
Do you hurt Him with your evil, people only call when there in fright,
but who marvels at His glory throughout the night.

----

Alright so ever bodies said there piece right...
Uh-Oh, gird yourself like a man, cause out of the storm is coming our grand finally!

independent

If no one can depend on you,
you probably can't rely on them,
but the there for you, when there not in the mood, friend,
Now you can;t be there for everyone,
but you can try and be there for some,
and the others at least give a smile,
as you go along your way,
to your bed where you can finally sleep,
normal times you cannot keep,
cuz the world will keep turning fast,

and things fall, of the wall,

and though your sleepy, you can't rest,
till you've answered there call,
and gas is expensive, and it's kind of pain,
but remember when they joined you sitting blank in the rain,
but your tire of the same old talk,
and the predictable road,
so off the beaten path you walk,
looking for silver, leaving gold.

blow stuff up

I blow stuff up, yeah I blow stuff up,
Yeah I blow stuff, blow stuff, blow stuff up.

some people like to stake out,
some people like to snipe,
but I just blow it all up,
and go on with my night,
I ain't talking bombs,
but I am talking trash,
if fools light my fuse,
then I'll blow their rap to ash

cuz:

I blow stuff up, yeah I blow stuff up,
Yeah I blow stuff, blow stuff, blow stuff up.

Now this song is for fun,
I ain't the one to make em run,
God be coming soon,
and His wrath burns like the sun,
He can kill the body, and the soul too,
so it's time to consider what He thinks about you,
we rap folk, we just toys played on the radio,
but if a player wanna battle,
then you warn and let him know,
that:

I blow stuff up, yeah I blow stuff up,
Yeah I blow stuff, blow stuff, blow stuff up.

know I hope I've well established,
I'm just talking bout my words,
but when we mention God,
well then it's time that you get scared,
He is God of all,
and He has got a law,
if you see His mighty works you may never find your jaw,
He's the reason proud men fall,
and He's always striking awe,
and you too will he strike down unless you get on top the ball,
say:

I am sorry,
please forgive me,
I repent, repent, repent, please,
I am sorry,
pleas forgive me,
I repent, repent, repent, please,

turn around, don't go back,
lest you wanna feel a real attack.

push up

Flash, Bang, and bring the blast,
run it hard, and run it fast,
what we make we make to last,
wanna win, when lots are cast,
ain't just skill it takes some hustle,
ain't just thoughts it takes some muscle,
push, push up, push up, push up,
burning, yet still turning,
wheels that process what I'm learning,
though it's long, I hope it's churning,
brings up answers before yearning is lost,
wise people count the cost,
and if God died on a cross, then rose,
surely He can crush all the claws,
of sin and death, give God's living breath,
burn up all the waste and refine what's left,
so turn your gaze above,
leave yourself and come near Him,
most say they love, but don't listen or fear Him,
push, push up, push up, push up,
know that the foundations been established,
I'm gonna move and hope you grasp this,
this world's pollution makes us all asthmatic,
the only solution is the Theocratic,
His rule is love, love, love,
and I don't mean smoochy, poofy stuff,
I mean what cost your sweat and blood,
"I give money" that ain't enough,
first disciples got clapped in cuffs,
feel challenged to a walk that's ruff,
that requires you to analyze,
see your steps through His teaching's eyes,
easy to be swayed by those preaching lies,
but Jesus warned about the wolves disguise,
so be ready, watch your post,
thoughts float in like a ghost,
and corrupt what you hold close,
compassion, is easily out rationalized,
"walk fast don't look in there eyes,
it's there sloth we despise,
turn up the bass and forget the baby that cries,"
and what you think? God just sighs?
we fly to filth as if we were flies,
leave justice, for more fries,
an still dare to tell God "I tried"
push, push up, push up, push up,
Yeah I talk a big game,
but I do the same,
got Jesus' name on my back,
but my walk is lame,
so pray we exercise all that we've been taught,
or all we've got's a frilly tree, that's producing naught.

protest (prompt)

there was people on Sunday,
walking past the-
there was people on Sunday,

Years go by and how things change,
people speaking out but it aint the same,
everybody want there piece of the fame,
I'm looking for a whole world to dream,

Origami (prompt)

Not wasteful,
folding at home like origami,
but it's 9:30 and she still ain't called me,
and it's killing me cause she got an air to draw me,
and my attention, shock me, awe me,
she's a suprise like a Catholic Comi,
but now she's causing anticipation to gnaw me,
shakes pain inside non-stop like a tommy,
cause i'm kinda hopin my children 'll call her "mommy"

Beauty Observed

It's a like a moment of love,
bursting out,
like the moment a flower blooms,
but not just a flower,
a whole bunch of flowers,
not a moving wave,
but an instant of effortlessly simultaneous love,
as if it were appointed in the very core of humanness,
deeper than all thoughts and obligation,
and I was blessed to be there,
and smile,
grateful for God.

suffo

Seeing something new for the first time, is a beautiful thing to see,
and that childish joy, is something that keeps on escaping me,
I don't need a lot of answers, my brain is wearing thin,
I want a wave to pick me up, and crush my heart again,
running, flying, riding,
are things that I do well,
but I ain't found magic gardens,
and I feel under a spell,
well I once walked in the rain,
and somebody came for me,
from where I left her in the car,
in search of being free,
suffo- suffocated, it's so very good to breath,
if you help me taste the air, maybe I won't have to leave.

Following Jesus

Following Jesus might not lead you out of the slum,
Following Jesus might lead you into the slum,
and that's what I love about Jesus,
he has not called us to enlarge our borders,
but to, like Him, wash dirty feet,
Love is more valuable,
Compassion more worthy,
Empathy more beautifull,
and delighting someone is more satisfying,
than all comforts and honor that greatness can afford,
so teaches our Majestic Lord.

rebel

A smart word for your anger and your grief,
he stole your life and took off like a thief,
Wish that cursed fruit would up and leave,
It's too bad that, you so late perceive,

There's blood pulling around your brothers chin,
a couple hundred years before you two were friends,
there is always a time of love and then it ends,
it's too bad, you don't stop this trend,

You're loved, You're hated, and your entertained,
You've got no husband but a thousand rings,
You're good God was waiting at the door,
it's too bad, that make Him wait some more,

Well I can hear the sound of rain, and it's a reign of fire,
There's a new dress being sent to you, resurrection was required,
I don't like your smell these days but what more can I do,
than hope you finally give in to someone who cares for you.

daily reminders

To be zealous and not stressed,
concerned and not depressed,
to be cool headed, but not apathetic,
not foolish, but fearless,
solid, but not tearless,
to rid my mouth of all complaints and slander,
to always speak with love and confronting candor,
to be happy with all good,
and vexed with all wrong,
to be meek and still strong,
to respect but not sell out,
to reason but not doubt,
to laugh when the time is right,
to smile kindly often, not angered with what is trite,
to spend less time enclosed,
and more time in the light,
to head advice then make a choice,
to see the needy and be their voice.

blame

Do you wonder, if God meets,
with the slave, across the street,
I had thought, to check it out,
but then I wanted something sweet,

how dark this world, how bitter the cross,
don't faint, draw near,
God shines love out of loss,

we sit outside, and judge the pain,
with our own concepts, of suffering,
we feel called to give our part,
that is at least, until, we feel something,

how dark this world, how bitter the cross,
don't faint, draw near,
God shines love out of loss,

catch the train

I'm going down into the city,
and I'm a taking someone with me,
She's the coolest gal I know,
--She's special.

Rata ta ta ta ta

(guitar)

hop, on, to, this train,
I hope we ended up running - in the rain,
take, off, your walking shoes,
feel that sand, feel loose,

(drums and snare)

Back by midnight, to get you home,
Marry me baby, Marry me,

(guitar and drum heavy jam)

deep

there's a whole in the wall,
there's horse in the stall,
there's lady about 5 foot,
with thick Southern drawl,

There's bright shiny gold,
A come back to be told,
There's a pulse,
and it pulls me, something powerful,

mmm, hmmmm, mmmmm,
mmm, hmmmm, mmmmm,

there's a ditch to be dug,
relatives to hug,
it's strange how these things,
remind us of love,

There's thoughts to be lost,
there's counting the cost,
I think diamonds hurt less,
when there still in the rough,

mmm, hmmmm, mmmmm,
mmm, hmmmm, mmmmm,

when the blood has stained,
you can do everything,
but as deep , as you dig,
your hands smell the same,

when the blood has stained,
you can do everything,
but as deep , as you dig,
your hands smell the same,

hardcore prompt

They haven't sent me my money yet,
but someone's knocking at my door,
I won't get draged down by this bull,
my eye's are fixed on something more,
I'm sure I could be "suscessful",
wouldn't have to be lonely or poor,
But when your hearts filled with passion,
you can't help but be hardcore...

WEAK

People say don't be hatting, but,

fact is my hearts heavy laden, cause,

pimps enslaving children,

not behaving real men,

I say it's time to cock the guns, ride on down and kill sin,

Who out there's willing, Who out there's willing,

Ain't you gut's man, ain't you got the power,

to face up to the pimps, or are you all cowards,

Pimps ain't man enough to hustle on their own,

they sell other peoples children inside other people homes,

Now I ain't preaching violence, but I can't sit silence,

not everything thing is caught by the sounding of the sirens,

Government cannot protect your soul,

and neither can the gangstas, and neither can this world,

Jesus had a fire,

Jesus had desire,

Jesus looked men in the eye and rose the stakes higher,

But too many so called Christian's are SO week,

Watching porn and stuff, and having evening sneeks,

Do you know what Christ said about folk's who hurts kids,

Hey said they were better of dead, really? Yes he did.

And He turned the tables when the tables needed turning,

And He will burn the trash up when it's proper time for burning,

And hope it's not only love songs that you been learning,

But how to walk in Christ's truth, and for His righteousness be yearning,

Grace, Grace, we pray for grace to replace,

the clay that got corrupted, when we turned from God's face,

inside our soul's our evil, destined towards death,

but Jesus overcame, in His suffering's last breath,

So do not walk around, controlled by random sounds,

There's strength left to be found,

make sure you stand on solid ground,

through God's power hold it down,

until His reign abounds!

Gird yourself like a man,

put your actions in your hands,

put the traction to the plan,

to brace and firmly stand,

But before the heeling’s sent man,

you gotta repent, and realize it's a new road,

don't need to go where you went,

Satan's shooting arrows, hoping you will bleed,

so make sure your equipped with all that you need,

and there's nothing wrong for asking your friends to intercede,

but if they let you down, you still can not retreat,

So plant in your feet, preparing to meet,

the onslaught of evil, that God can defeat,

love what's good, hate what's bad,

In the fear of God's honor keep yourself well clad,

He despises oppression from what I can tell,

but to redeem the lost, He went through hell,

remember the cost, in reverence dwell,

and do not be lure in by those who buy and sell,

Favorite Feeling

I remember the days when we were all just chilling,

Why's it need to fade away those were my favorite feelings,

I remember the days when we were all just chilling,

Why's it need to fade away those were my favorite feelings,

I remember hoping table to table with my coffee cup,

greeting different people just seeing whats up,

I remember talking walks on dirt tracks,

doing nothing but talk,

and looking at the stars,

is it a man or a rabbit in the moon,

times sitting on the roof always ended too soon,

I remember sitting on brinks and drinking the best strong tea,

I remember the guards who would joke and philosophies with me,

I remember the times of late night stories,

and afternoon improve guitar rhymes,

sometimes it hit, sometimes it missed, and that was just fine,

I remember groups bobbing in the waves at petite mamelle,

That shack, the bissap, where relaxing vibes dwell,

I remember taxi rides in bigness,

and delicious ice cream,

that was a long timer ago,

feels sorta like a dream,

I remember the days when we were all just chilling,

Why's it need to fade away those were my favorite feelings,

I remember the days when we were all just chilling,

Why's it need to fade away those were my favorite feelings,

Yeah, and what about when we'd ride around town listening to Snow Patrol,

windows down, feeting hanging out, conformity had no control,

taking naps during the day, and playing drums when it was late,

Revelation read by my intoxicated room mate,

smoothies and grilled cheese, after freezing cold ultimate frisbee,

drink as many as you want, we're on the meal plan so it's free,

thought I would sleep but hear a ring on my phone,

they want to kidnap me to I-hop, so I give a happy groan,

then finnaly I get back, glad to turn it in,

then wake up the next morning to do it over again,

I remember the days when we were all just chilling,

Why's it need to fade away those were my favorite feelings,

I remember the days when we were all just chilling,

Why's it need to fade away those were my favorite feelings,

and I know it's gotta be good what God has in store,

so I love my past, but tell myself to look forward,

these days I get lonely, frustrated, and bored,

but I pray to God, and I'm getting more and more assured,

that as time keeps on passing, the good memories lasting,

that this is a time of soul fasting, before a new hope starts blasting,

gloriously rays casting, something to see, unmasking,

my mystery that's been keeping me asking,

listen, making poor choices is common,

getting to a critical point and then bommin,

but God's got a joy that's real even when your eating romen,

all alone, and your tired and thoughts wont stop comin,

cause joy is based in hope, and hope brings peace,

up and down on the knees,

praying God will pour out Spirit, and help us all to see,

Yeah, cause Jesus took a time of pain,

but rose from death in victory,
