have you ever felt like your case is hopeless,
would hung yourself but your room was ropeless,
pleeeaaase, take a step back and notice,
life is more than a highschool drama, hocus pocus,
the athlete and the smokers, and the back row jockers,
all need to focus on the cause,
and I know you thinking most cause have flaws,
best be blasting past those like race cars with nas,
but we be hooked on to the target like a persistent hungry jaws,
bright lights keep on shining,
blinding, trying to get me thrown off, sacked like a line men,
hijacking our timing,
but we still rhyming,
clearly defining,
a world that needs refining,
till we loose our voice,
then we'll be miming,
so lock on,
then rock on,
cause soon this world will be gone,
hope you'll have something solid,
when the remnant is drawn,
up from the ash and smoke,
the asp will choke,
and it'll be you before Jesus,
and his grasp, has never been broke.

hear
I crash the course with broken sails,
big rigs harpoons impale the whales,
robinhood brags and drinks his ale,
at least his conceit has not veil.
like peter pan he's cocky,
The wolf moved in to make his kill,
the duck defended with his bill,
after bravery he laid hurt and still,
but from a distance near the mill,
a horse and a jockey,
Like heroes they rode in quick,
they gave they hungry wolf a kick,
the duck waddled off his wounds to lick,
the man was feeling pretty slick,
then used the walkie-talky,
well it was bound to impress some women folk,
he thought as he ruffled up his cloak,
and of his compassionate efforts he spoke,
but in the horses heart was rising smoke,
cause the man made his life so rocky,
everyday he walked polluted towns,
because the vain hero had to be carried around,
and with time the horse hated triumphant sound,
cause his strong head was still forced toward the ground,
by those who spoke of freedom,
a world full of good people like you and me,
smile with glee, when we plant a tree,
meanwhile people die of infirmities,
we send opinions, promises, sympathies,
then hug ourselves and forget what they're needing,
but what if robin hood never moved on,
and peter pan didn't fly towards dawn,
and towards the duck, the man's eyes weren't drawn,
what if we were so afraid our methods were wrong,
we stopped every form of freedom,
would widows have anything to cook in their pails,
would pirates never get a tear in there sails,
would the duck end up loosing more than his tail,
would our hesitation let self indulgence prevail,
where is all this leading?
it's leading to robin speaking nice,
to peter pan's crow thinking twice,
to the man lifting up his horses eyes,
to us giving our hearts along with rice,
and stop all indirect beating,
Now I suppose, this might happen one step at a time,
or you might give your whole life, like you've lost your mind,
but those who are lost, are the ones Jesus can find,
So go sit with somebody in a refugee line,
and have a respectful meeting,
and you may hear,
finally clear,
if you put spit, in your ear,
the love you both need.

Sunshine
Sunshine little bit of sunshine, little bit of sunshine, little bit of sun, Oh vitamin D,
Sunshine little bit of sunshine, little bit of sunshine, little bit of sun, Oh vitamin D,
Breath, I need to breath,
some fresh blowing air,
I'll walk anywhere,
Run, I could use a jog,
fill up my lungs,
spit up the smog,
Sunshine little bit of sunshine, little bit of sunshine, little bit of sun, Oh vitamin D,
Sunshine little bit of sunshine, little bit of sunshine, little bit of sun, Oh vitamin D,
Water, the cooling touch,
I keep diving in, love the feel so much,
Sand, sifting through my hand,
crawl to where it's dry, soak it in,
Sunshine little bit of sunshine, little bit of sunshine, little bit of sun, Oh vitamin D,
Sunshine little bit of sunshine, little bit of sunshine, little bit of sun, Oh vitamin D.

focus
Hit the wave, be brave, ain't no reason for a kid to be slaved,
ain't no time to tell me how to behave,
uncage, uncage, uncage,
if this world were a stage, and each scene was a different age,
the audience on every page, should be
enraged, enraged, enraged,
but so few have eyes to see, and allow themselves to hear,
cause then the spotlights not on you,
the spotlights on their fear,
but there have been some,
who dare to come,
and reach to those in need,
they resign themselves to a life of love,
they resign themselves to bleed,
I ask for more than a vote, or your name on a petition,
I ask you to change your life,
dedicate to the mission,
to give with all your strength,
to stand in the midst of fear,
to pray, and talk, and work,
until freedom appears.

silver
If no one can depend on you,
you probably can't rely on them,
to be there for you, in a time when they're just not in the mood, friend,
Now you can't be there for everyone, but you can try and be there for some.
and the others at least give a smile as you go along your way,
to your bed where you can finally sleep,
normal times, you cannot keep,
cause the world will keep turning fast,
and things fall of the wall,
and though you're sleepy you can't rest,
till you've answered their call,
and gas is expensive,
and it's kind of a pain,
but remember when they joined you sitting blank in the rain,
but you're tired of predictable talk and the same old road,
so off the beaten path you walk, looking for silver leaving gold.
you probably can't rely on them,
to be there for you, in a time when they're just not in the mood, friend,
Now you can't be there for everyone, but you can try and be there for some.

Some Smiles
I am showing smiles, cause they keep getting smiles back, and those smiles attack, my walls of sadness, revealing gladness, filling me again, with heart of blood and life beneath this skin, and if I'm not too sad, cause I have to go, to new faces, I can dare to show,
some smiles
don't hold on too tight,
don't become too greedy,
let these moments be light,
be grateful not needy,
it's true, tomorrow might not be as good as today, but if you fill yourself with sorrow you'll probably be sad either way, There's so much pain of others, that we need to feel, but if we cannot smile, how on earth are we supposed to heal,
I can't fight evil on my own, nobody can,
so although we are not perfect, and come take my hand,
and show some smiles,
and show some smiles,
don't hold on too tight,
don't become too greedy,
let these moments be light,
be grateful not needy,
not to distract from the urgency,
not to detract from the empathy,
we must react to the enemy,
we must attack this vile industry,
but in the midst of our fight and concern,
we have lost, if we don't let hope burn,
like a fire,
catching all the dead on the ground,
leaping from branch to branch,
till it's the only sound,
and with that in mind,
don't let your joy unwind,
reach beside you to find,
some smiles.

melancholy
I've got a melancholy side,
I think we all do,
and if you never let yours show,
well then there's something wrong with you,
cause see my problems are your problems,
and my villains destroy the world,
and our heroes gently hold the thread,
that keeps it from being unfurled,
and I don't discount the great amount of planning that's been done,
but right now's a hell of a battle that heavens already won,
Yes we are all made of mud, but know that life is in the blood,
and our attempt for great enlightenment turned out to be a dud,
now piles of business help books make me throw up,
there's only 2 things that matter, obey God, and like Jesus love,
vanity, vanity, all is vanity,
I'm tired of this nonsense,
I'm approaching insanity,
that hurts,
so I stay with half-conscious humanity,
though if I could, I think I would,
change our presence on this planet and tree.

rest
There's something nice about a simple bed,
I can't stop dreams from playing in my mind,
I hope I get to see my friends tonight,
I don't won't work, or trouble, or fright,
I want pleasant rest,
With nothing to solve,
On a mountain crest,
In the sand dissolve,
When I'm asleep, I don't usually,
have to worry,
About the wrong, or the lack of voices,
or to hurry,
the moments not about analyzing,
my brains mixed up paths,
I'm feeling the moment as I fly through stars and take mud baths,
Then there are the times, that I know they're coming to kill me,
Or sometimes even worse, I think I might be with guilty,
I want pleasant rest,
With nothing to solve,
On a mountain crest,
In the sand dissolve,
Can we chit chat, can we make up a song I won't remember,
Can we walk the world, and enjoy like we were full time members,
can we be really good, do all that we should, and only that,
can we laugh with a laugh that comes from behind our belly's fat,
I want pleasant rest,
With nothing to solve,
On a mountain crest,
In the sand dissolve,
I can have quite pleasant dreams,
from my memory of the past,
and that's all fine and dandy,
if you can get those dreams to last,
but ever since I was a child, haunting faces float above,
I want all there pain to stop, no more suffering, just love,
That's not real, it can't happen,
it's not part, of , the, system,
I hope for at least a mirage,
After trying to resist them,
I want pleasant rest,
With nothing to solve,
On a mountain crest,

tick tock
Problems in my belly,
Problems in my soul,
Problems in my head,
that keep me thinking I am old,
Problems in my logic,
that look for a quick fix,
for all the worlds problems,
that persist to exist,
I got piles and piles of reasons,
and books from here to there,
I follow complex arguments,
but they don't lead me anywhere,
the beaker's full of water,
the scale is full of led,
there's a tick tock, tick tock,
coming from my head,
the sun is setting faster,
the clouds are moving swift,
there's an orange pink energy to wake me from my drift,
I feel the pull of beauty,
I sense some change to come,
the clock is silenced
and all I hear is drums,
Oh please blow the trumpet,
I'm waiting ready here,
engulf this in a wave,
and clean us all clear.

Ants
Like a swarm of ants at dawn,
I must confess, are the words that align as they crawl out of my chest,
to amazingly bear the immense weight of despair, all the way to earths crest,
and they're trying their best.
but large stones fall from the sky,
and moist bones pierce upward through the ground,
one would expect there to be startling cries,
but more eerily,
the displacement of earth is the only sound,
yet onward they go, these persistent ants,
each trying to re-collect a laughing child, or lovely dance,
something to hold on to, something to fill their minds,
they only partly glance,
at the scene that surrounds them, at the world that is now,
but the weight becomes heavier, and their legs
bow
their eyes swim, there endurance wains thin,
they search for strength, but find none in their limbs,
and there they remain, in the midst of the pain,
but so exhausted and hopeless, they feel no fear,
or frustration,
or
anything
their lives they have lost, though they have not been slain.

Eye Opener
I try to fly up high to the sky, so I can reroute my eyes, see past your disguise,
reveal all the lies, ya'll are all crooked guys, selling out like fries,
most in the game love it, but above it I'll rise,
I want nothing to do, with your blocks and your grams,
I'll only serve one master. and that be the Lamb,
who was slain, for sick souls He came,
He rose in victory, but only after much pain,
What's with all death, well, sin is it's nickname,
I mean what's it gonna take for folks to make the connection,
That when you break from God's law you break out of perfection,
and if we're destroying ourselves, where we gonna find protection.

We've Created Monsters
currently goes well to the beat of (Ratatat - Lex)
I'm not convinced, I'm convinced of the problem,
not how your gonna solve em,
I need plans laid out, do ya plan to draw them,
cause well minded visionaries rise so often,
and all for what, and all for who,
you've shown your a fighter, but ain't about you,
thought it was to heal somebody,
thought it was to fix something,
so I wanna here some answers when the red phone rings,
but it's been ringin off for days, correction , even years,
and were still feeling good about drying a few tears,
and all the while I here the jeers,
of those who were once men,
but have been transformed into monsters
cause we're comfortable with sin,
eat the apple and not die,
kill your brother and not cry,
make some money from a lie,
exploit it all until all purity is fried,
why
there's no consequences,
hesitate, but the defense is,
there's no consequences,
there's no consequences,
there's no consequences,
hesitate but the defense is,
there's no consequences,
there's no consequences,
and we believe it, till sickest part is revealed,
infected creatures with a few days left to be healed,
but ask for solutions and all the lips are sealed,
browsing through stats and links keeping my eyes peeled,
I know the cure is God, but I look at the facade,
of masses trying to follow,
seeing even them corruption swallows, how can we be filled with God,
and still act so hallow,
don't we know that porn plays of slavery,
and that 12 to 13 is the average age of entry,
to this thing we coined as human trafficking,
but all it is evil, and right now seems that that's the king,
but God reigns, and he takes the pane,
breaks the screen, shakes the fein,
crush the chains, brings the rain,
washes stains,
least I believe He will, cause he came,
but right now there's more monsters,
and I know who's to blame,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
Satan's got us marketing our brothers, sisters, children on the slave train,
and I want to be clear that this is not a metaphor,
triple those who crossed Atlantic and in shackles were led ashore,
are currently working as slaves and the profits soar,
real chains, real metal, real rape, real devil,
these words can't settle,
one thing always leads to another,
so watch your own eyes and those of your brother,
can't let the devil go on and on and smother,
the truth, that there's a way for monsters to recover.
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
You've heard the songs, seen the plays, the movies,
how we talk to our friends all day,
we normalize sin, while right in our face,
is that fact, that leads death, and I wish it was just dying,
but I mean calloused souls selling kids who are crying,
pitch a group some change and go about out sighing,
but even to use that word kind feels like lieing,
cause where is the difference, when the crime is on the rise,
that's why I pray for swift return and my eyes our on the skies,
but I know and am grateful that like they say each life counts,
but what's messed up is when we rescue they kidnap in more amounts,
So where's our fount,
And where we flow,
Cause the Holy Spirit power,
brings fruit where it goes,
so all the details I'm still frustrated I don't know,
but I've figured out this much, all sin has got to go,
cause:
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,

We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
You've heard the songs, seen the plays, the movies,
how we talk to our friends all day,
we normalize sin, while right in our face,
is that fact, that leads death, and I wish it was just dying,
but I mean calloused souls selling kids who are crying,
pitch a group some change and go about out sighing,
but even to use that word kind feels like lieing,
cause where is the difference, when the crime is on the rise,
that's why I pray for swift return and my eyes our on the skies,
but I know and am grateful that like they say each life counts,
but what's messed up is when we rescue they kidnap in more amounts,
So where's our fount,
And where we flow,
Cause the Holy Spirit power,
brings fruit where it goes,
so all the details I'm still frustrated I don't know,
but I've figured out this much, all sin has got to go,
cause:
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
We've created monsters,
